About Me

Hi, my name is Fran and I'm trying to live a more FRUGAL life.

My husband, the Fishographer, and I have been married for almost 12 years.  Close to 9 years ago when I had my first child we decided I would be a stay-at-home mom.  We haven't looked back.  I have learned many lessons about surviving and flourishing on a single income.  Now four kids later I'm still learning and I'd like to share that journey here on Franny Frugal.

I enjoy couponing, deal chasing, blogging, organizing and cleaning.  Although, with four kids those last two seem to take up the bulk of my time.  Recently I have discovered a love for writing and running, though not at the same time.  I'm working on improving in both of those areas.

We belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  My religion is a huge influence in my life.  Not only are my beliefs and values tempered by my faith, but also my everyday words and actions. I believe in Christ, I know he lives and loves me.  I'm here on this earth to be tried and tested, if I succeed I will be able to return and live with my Heavenly Father.  One principle I believe strongly in is being a good steward.  God has blessed me with all that I have.  All I can do is to use my time, talents, money and property in the best possible way.

Here at Franny Frugal I want to share tips and ideas about how I have been able to save our family money and better use our resources.  I'll also be sharing new ways I'm finding to save and goals I have to become more frugal.  Frugality is a journey.  You never really arrive at being completely FRUGAL.  There will always be something you can do better.

My hope is that you will feel free to comment on my experiences and tips and share some of your own.  We can all learn from each other.

There is advertising and affiliate links on this blog.  I get paid to suggest certain products and websites.  I will always be completely upfront about offers that will directly benefit me.  My philosophy is that I might as well earn a few pennies for things I would suggest anyway, but it is important for you as a consumer to know when I'm being compensated for my recommendations.  The offers I suggest will only be ones I choose to do myself and would blog about even without being paid.  You can support me by participating in these offers.
