Free Pasta
There has been an awesome sale going on at Smith's. Even if you don't subscribe to the newspaper you can get some free pasta until the 29th. Here's how:
::Ronzoni Boxed pasta is currently on sale for $.99 a box.
::This pasta is also part of the Buy 10 get $5 deal. Simply put, you buy any 10 items that are part of the promotion and you'll get an instant $5 off your order. So, that's like $.50 off per item. Just make sure you buy in batches of 10 so you get the $5 off. If you need filler items the Powerade ends up being $.39 no coupons needed.
::Use the $1/2 and $1/1 Ronzoni Pasta coupons from the January 23rd Smartsource coupon insert. Or print coupons from these links.
(3) $1/2 coupons Here
(3) $1/2 coupons Here
Each of those coupons can be printed twice, just press the back button on your browser, for a grand total of 12 coupons or 24 boxes of pasta.
::That's it.
The above 20 boxes cost me -$2.20. I bought some bananas to cover the overage. I just feel funny about having a cashier pay me to take product out of the store. When the Fishographer heard about deals like this the first time he said "that's stealing," but I assured him it is totally legal.

Good Deal Alert: Milk
Kohler's has their Western Family brand milk on sale this week 3 for $6. Anytime I can find milk for under $2.50 a gallon I'm a happy camper. So, how can you best take advantage of this deal? Buy a bunch and freeze it. Don't worry it won't taste weird afterwards. Here are some tips for freezing milk:
- Milk jugs freeze well. Just throw in the freezer when you get home from the store. You don't need to do anything special.
- To defrost your milk you can try a couple of different options. When the milk in the fridge is about half gone grab a new one from the freezer and place in the fridge it should be defrosted by the time you're ready to use it. Take a frozen gallon out of the freezer before you go to bed at night and put it in your sink, it will be ready to go in the morning. Or, place the frozen milk jug in a large pot with hot water and it will defrost quickly.
- When defrosted pick the jug up and open the lid. Let as much air in the jug as possible. Place the lid on tightly (before setting it down again) and give the jug two or three good shakes. This will re-homogenize the milk. The milk should stay mixed and ready to go.

Good Deal Alert: Free Scented Gel PlugIns

At Walgreens this month they are offering a $1 rebate (can do up to 10 times) on these PlugIns. Regular price for these are $1.99 and you can find a BOGO coupon (S 9/14-36 and here). Here's my math:
Buy 2 @ $1.99 = $3.98
Use 1 BOGO = ($1.99)
Submit for rebates online = ($2.20)
Result = ($.21)
Note: When you submit for a Walgreens Rebate online and have them put it on a Gift Card they give you an extra 10%. Great way to cover your tax cost and interest for letting them borrow your money for the month.
