Walgreens Trip 4 Aug 2008

This was my first experience "making a deal" at Walgreens.  I think I did pretty well for a first timer.  Here are the details:

  • (2) Oust Surface & Air Sanitizer - On Sale 2/$4, plus (2) MFC S 7/27-14 $1/1, plus $1 rebate on each. Result = $0.00 ea.
  • (1) Walgreens Light Bulbs 4pk. - Regular Price $1.99, plus $1.99 rebate.  Result = $0.00 ea.
  • (2) Bioinfusion Shampoo or Conditioner - On Sale $5.99 ea., plus $5.99 rebate on each.  Result = $0.00 ea.
  • (2) PertPlus 2in1 - Regular Price $3.49, plus (2) MFC S 6/29-12 $2/1, plus $3.49 rebate on one.  Result = -$0.51 overage
  • (4) SpeedStick Deoderant - On Sale $1.99 ea., plus (2) MFC S 7/27-4 $.75/2, plus RR $4. Result = $0.615 ea.
  • (1) Dawn Dish Liquid - Regular Price $1.99, plus (1) SC $0.99 ea., plus (1) MFC PG 8/3-25 $.50/1.  Result = $0.49 ea.
  • (2) Papermate Ball Point Pen 10pk - On Sale 2/$3, plus (2) SC $0.09 ea.  Result = $0.09 ea.
  • (1) Crayola Washable Markers - On Sale $3.99, plus Rebate S 8/3-7 Buy $5 in Pert get $5 school supply rebate.  Result = -$1.01 overage
Grand Totals:

Register Total - $43.89
Tax - $2.59
MFC Total - ($8.00)
SC Total - ($3.82)
WAGS Rebates - ($19.46)
MF Rebates - ($5.00)
RR - ($4.00)

Grand Total - $6.20

If I put the WAGS Rebates on a Gift Card they will add 10% to the amount so it would add $1.95 to my savings and reduce my Grand Total to $4.25.  I could have done better in choosing my School Supplies, by only spending $5 instead of $6.99 and using the great deals they have running on School Supplies, and I could have gotten more Dawn if I had more MFC.  Overall I'm pretty impressed with my first experience shopping at Walgreens.  How did you do?
